Every Kappa Delta sister shares the irreplaceable bonds of sisterhood. Kappa Delta means sharing a bond with friends who care. A Kappa Delta stands beside her sisters through good times and bad. Kappa Deltas are truly lucky, as few women are fortunate even to experience this kind of friendship. The bonds of sisterhood signify more than just unconditional friendship; they represent unconditional love.

One of the best things about being a Kappa Delta is spending time with each other. Whether we're watching "Grey's" on Thursday nights, going to football games, shopping, or studying, we're having fun together.

Because of the bonds of sisterhood that run deep within every Kappa Delta a special day was created by National Kappa Delta. In 1999, Kappa Delta created National Women's Friendship Day. It is held on the third Sunday in September. Our female friends hold a special place in our hearts and lives, and this is a chance to celebrate the unique gift of friendship.

In early 2006, Kappa Delta joined the groundbreaking Dove Campaign for Real Beauty to help raise self-esteem in girls and women. The campaign is a global effort intended to serve as a starting point for societal change and act as a catalyst for widening the definition and discussion of beauty. Girls and women of all ages benefit from the campaign as we explore what it is to be beautiful with our friends, coworkers, mothers, and daughters.

The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty has included controversial advertisements of real women with real curves in their underwear, a Super Bowl ad promoting self-esteem among girls, activity booklets, a comprehensive website and more. Kappa Delta is proud to join forces with Dove to make a difference in the lives of women and girls across the country.
